I drove our last mack home from tulsa, which is a 5 hour drive, without a hiccup. But its standard size tires (that were good tires). 11r all the way around. And a lot more common drivetrain.
I've sent our truck to western kansas with our lowboy hauling military trucks (which cost 2 trailer tires, on the road), I drove the western star home from oklahoma, and took it to dallas to pickup our double drop. Lost a air line coming from oklahoma, and caught a overtight wheel bearing on the trailer, which I chained up to get home from dallas.
This new truck is 425 steers and 315 drives, which usually aren't as easy to find on the road.
I've driven cranes home and I've had them hauled, and if the numbers $ are any where close, I'll have them hauled. I would rather fix problems close to home.
