Kawasaki pump regulator installation

Hello I have a daewoo excavator with Kawasaki dual pumps, I need to replace seals where the face of the regulator meets the pump,
Service manual says to unbolt regulator and install in reverse process, picture shows the lever coming out the end.

When I pull the regulator off, do I need to align that lever into or onto a specific part upon installation?
(When I pull it off the pump will it fall to a position different than what it was? Or is it just a simple unbolt, replace o’rings, bolt back on and never touch the lever at all?)

Thanks in advance, have included picture of regulator showing the lever mentioned

Good day
The fork has to be aligned with the control piston, you can use a thin wire to align. As you remove the regulator you will hear a click as the fork leaves the mating part.See the illustration.
Kind regards
