If you have to cut the ziptie tails, use a razor knife and trim them flush. Anyone who leaves that 1/4 inch tail sticking out does not care about the next guy who comes along. I hate that guy.
I have a pair of knipex flush cuts. They do great. Idk how they do it….dont ask me how I know this but he darn careful when you use them to trim fingernails!!

I have a cauterizing tool that was given to me when I got snipped 20 years ago and it works excellent for melting the sharp ends into the head of the zip tie.
Haven‘t bleed from a sharp zip tie end for awhile.
Keep it in my toolbag and actually bought another one for my toolbox for 15 bucks off of Amazon.
Also use it to melt insulation on wires, when splicing.

Another vibratory system failure on a Sakai roller this time. Lmm changed out leaking hoses for the vibrator system and evidently knocked more dirt in the hose or ports. This time it trashed the motor and the pump.

Deere dealer did the last one (Bomag) since they beat me to it........heard the bill was over $7K. They aren't so lucky this time, probably double that.

Seems he likes to use silicon on ORFS fittings also. Big NO NO!

Nope...........I don't feel sorry for them LOL

Wait...........say that again!! Let me see if I understand this correctly..........LMM puts RTV on an ORFS fitting??!! Is that it??
He ran outta O rings and said RTV will work just as good?? Or he added the RTV to the new Oring........
Holy crap.............WOW!!

LMM just doesn't know any better. He was never a service tech.....he was a lube tech......and only for less than 2 years at that. He has a boss with zero experience in this field throwing him at everything whether he knows anything about it or not. This is ALL on Alan.

It's time to pay the piper at this point. I have quoted a total of just over $80K in repair work on 4 different majors.............one of which I just finished. Nothing like this was happening when I was there. Now it is a constant. And they thought I was too expensive!?

Ok........but, but, but........part of me thinks 'There's a first time for everything.' And there is alot I haven't done yet.......but with critical thinking and logic......you can get it done.......might not be the quickest, since its my first time, but I can get it done....correctly...the first time.

HOWEVER............HOLY ****!! RTV on a ORFS??!! I think I knew at 10 or 12 how to change a hose and put new o rings in...........never once have I EVER been tempted to put RTV in there.

Ohhh St. V Tech, you are far more patient man than I!! I humbly bow to your tolerance and patience and ask that you teach me your ways!!

I sent Alan and the main super my repair quotes on Monday. I got an email from Alan yesterday saying that he is waiting on the CEO to get back with him. The CEO has to be wondering "WTF is going on!?" I bet there will be a lot of questions to be answered.
