I have a cat 313fl, it revs very low and seems a bit sluggish, anyone do anything to solve this.

Have you checked for fault codes on the monitor panel. You should also provide a serial number for the machine. It will provide info for those who have access to service information to help you.

Try 9992.

Has any maintenance been done on the fuel system recently, such as draining the water and sediment from the tank, changing filters, blowing fuel lines out.? Stuff like that.

Did the problem appear suddenly or has it been getting worse for while.?

No I don’t have the machine long it has 5000 hours. It’s not like that it just doesn’t seem to rev up high enough. Like 1400/1500 revs seems it could do more, could it be turned up a bit

If you have not had the machine long and have not done anything to it yet then I would suggest to start by doing all the basics regarding the fuel system as a first step. Only by eliminating things will you actually get to find the root cause. It’s not a case of simply “turning something up”. If the Operation & Maintenance Manual is missing from the pocket behind the seat then you need to get hold if one ASAP.

Also get into the Monitor Panel and get some accurate numbers of the maximum RPM that the engine will reach. As you keep doing things to the machine check in the RPM and monitor if there is any improvement.
