4036

Where is the TMY 40 working? . We have no 36 ,will post some pictures when allowed.

4036 in La Trobe Valley, Victoria in 1996, then owned by Tim Christian. As I recall, it came with a 50 foot tower. Can I ask who owns it now.

Logger's World

One perk of all that is that among other things I have every issue of Loggers World ever printed, duplicates of most. The first ever issue was published in Sedro-Wolley, WA in October 1964. there are probably about 15 of these left in existence, I have 3 of them. Pics attached,

Do you have an extra copy of Logger's World Sept. 1975, Vol 17, No. 4? Would you be willing to part with it?

O.K. I just went through the archives here and found that issue- An 'Alaskan Loggers' Issue. Gildersleeve at Whale Pass, Campbell Const at Naukati, Keith Bloom at Marble Island, etc.

I am 95% sure I had multiple copies of this issue, but I only find the one copy with my 1975 set. I cannot break up the collection, but how about this- if there's a particular picture or individual in the issue you're looking for I'll scan and send that to you. Send me your particulars and I'll set you up (Private Message may be better than putting your info on the web here).

In the meantime, I'll keep looking and if I can find a second copy of that issue I'll send it to you, no worries. Alaska Logging has been a lifelong interest of mine and I'm sure I had multiples of this issue....Now its driving me nuts!

I'm in Juneau now and if you're close around here you're more than welcome to borrow this copy too- I'm not bothered by that as long as it makes it back home.

Yes, that is the one. I am on Prince of Wales, and would love to have a scan of the cover, table of contents, and the Gildersleeve article. The whole magazine would be wonderful if you find an extra copy. Thanks so very much. I tried to look at your profile to get an e-mail but I was denied access. Is there another way to contact you off-line?

Sorry for the delay. Ive been away from the net.

It is broken at present. The preload come of the tailrope bearings and flogged the shaft. Mine and Morepork's photos are taken up Mt D1ck, Wairarapa. I look straight onto their job from my back deck.

We run 4 out the back and normaly run 1 snap guy so as not to hinder loader from clearing the shute. Now and again we will put a snap guy out if we are getting a little out of lead just to finish a setting ,keeping the turns light.
