    Yep, unfortunately do. I was thinking maybe a relay is sticking or something. Otherwise possibly a short but wanted to get some knowledge on the workings of the electrical of this thing before hunting a short down.

    I don’t have an image of the actual thing on the machine, but it is #15 in this diagram. A 12v shutoff. I could be wrong but I’m not sure if this is the problem, because the dash itself stays on too as if I had the key on. I don’t think the fuel shutoff would do that?

    Isuzu starter woes

    Hey did you ever figure out your issue? I have an IHI 35J that has pretty much the same issue. Isuzu 3LD1 engine. Haven’t tried tapping it yet while starting but whenever it gets warm after operating it a while, it just quits starting! You can hear the solenoid clink but doesn’t turn over at all.
