    why is your primary filter seal , so dirty, when you show the inside, that seal compress againts, the chamber wall and it is tight, unless you using the wrong filter.

    It looks like that track is too loose and the idler is too far up front in order to fix this track, the best solution is to remove one of the links, and by looking at your final drive, you need need sprockets.

    In Georgia we used 50w for the swing and the finals per cat specs, you are in canada and who knows what type oil gear oil you will used.

    Fiive hours is not bad, that is about 10 hours all together, I used to do 953 by myself in seven hours, if you had all the parts, new tracks, rollers, all the segments, the carrier roller and the idler with the new seals, all this parts setting next the machine.

    I agree with 25c the best you can do is disconnect the neg cable, i had welded all kinds of repairs on machines and never had a problem.
