TD70G oil in radiator on Akerman H12b

Thanks. I've got a slow leak in a waterpump weep hole as well so it looks like I'll be replacing the waterpump next. The temp gauge wasn't working either which didn't help, so if anyone has thoughts on a good kit with sending unit and gauge that's a good fit on the TD70G it'd be good to hear.

TD70G oil in radiator on Akerman H12b

FYI, it turned out to be a pinhole size hole in the oil cooler insert.

TD70G oil in radiator on Akerman H12b

Hi everyone, I would appreciate your thoughts on potential causes for oil getting in the radiator on a TD70G. It previously had overheated and got a small crack in a cylinder head that caused overheating and pressure in the radiator (which I've heard is a common issue with that engine). I...

2009 HITACHI ZX50UNA-2 flashing SYS light but seems to run fine

Hi, I recently got a ZX50U-2 and it seems to run fine, but the SYS system failure indicator light is flashing in 1 second increments. Is there any button sequence that can enter a service menu to expose any diagnostic trouble codes that may be stored in the system? -thanks!

Akerman H12BLC excavator - hydraulic track tensioner leaking grease

It looks like I'll need to replace the seals on the hydraulic track tensioner on my Akerman H12BLC excavator as the grease is leaking out. Does anyone know if the hydraulic tensioner can be removed on these machines without removing the track? Any tips on how to make the job easier...

Does anyone know who has bucket shank retainer pins for Akerman H12b LC? thanks!

Right, its kind of a strange way to do the pins. It doesn't make it very easy to simply replace them with the same type of pin. So far, the reflex pin is working well, but if that fails I may just weld in a similar size pin. Thanks Uffex, good info!

Does anyone know who has bucket shank retainer pins for Akerman H12b LC? thanks!

That's great to hear Ben, I'll give them a try. I was up in Concord Ma yesterday so tried Nortrax, Jordans and Anderson's but with no luck. I'll give Tyler a call. Thanks!

Does anyone know who has bucket shank retainer pins for Akerman H12b LC? thanks!

thanks, I tried Woodco Machinery (Volvo dealer) and CN Wood (Komatsu) in Woburn Ma but neither of them were able to track down the right part. CN Wood did get close though realizing its a Hensley parabolic connector that's holding the tooth on, but couldn't find the part number for the pin...

Akerman tracked excavator goes forward and backward but doesn't turn left or right

Yes, I was very happy to see her back in service. There's lots of things that need to be done and it was frustrating not being able to figure out the root cause. Please let me know if you're out in New England at some point, it'd be an honor to pick up a few rounds. Cheers! :drinkup

Akerman tracked excavator goes forward and backward but doesn't turn left or right

Thanks everyone VERY MUCH for your help! It turns out that the valve on the manifold is what allows the excavator to steer and wasn't getting any power. There was another fuse back in the engine compartment above the hydraulic pumps that was faulty. After replacing that fuse, the excavator...

Akerman tracked excavator goes forward and backward but doesn't turn left or right

Thanks Lanway, I did try using the speed switch on the panel, which has 3 positions. Changing to the different positions didn't change the ability of the excavator to turn unfortunately. I couldn't tell if the different positions were even making a difference though so I think it was...
