D1105 idles decent but more load more smelly black smoke.

Plungers are good i used direct marks. The main assembly i think thats the barrels i used photos and paint marks to try and reset them. I did not know when i took them apart it mattered so i did not place a good mark on each beforce i disassemble it.

D1105 idles decent but more load more smelly black smoke.

Not hard to start. Intake has new filter. Time ran shows 506 hours. It matches the log book it had. Cap on fuel screw is still intact. Shuts down fine. It was a military unit that seems to have aged out. That is all i know the logs that came with it had it running in good order before stored...

D1105 idles decent but more load more smelly black smoke.

Back at the project generator. I have an 08 kubota D1105 Generator runs good at idle maybe a small amount of smoke but not easy to see. As i increase the load more and more smelly black smoke comes out getting thicker as the power demand increases. I know its way to much smoke has my garage full...

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

I guess what this proves is holding an art degree by a member of this forum does not make them an expert in everything including giving great clear direction. And i did not need a flashlight to check out the phantom gear underneath. But thanks for the help and sarcasm but i hope you expect some...

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

On that video at 29:45 when he installs item 080 from picture further up in the post above he just puts it in. I am wondering if that is my issue? I dont see any other place i messed up and i have taken it apart and check several times. I will do it one more time. I am sure since part 080 has...

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

At 34 min in this video is my plunger and what is twisted to control the fuel flow. That was the reason i was saying 180 there is only 2 options to install it back or forward. The the round nipple at 43 moves is using the shape of the plunger vs a gear. I think that is what has me confused...

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

I will recheck it. I hope it is an injector pump. It would be worse if it was feeding oil from the rings and burning it. I will be taking it apart again to check.

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

Thank you, i will double check that i dont have it 180 off. (i was looking for a gear) but it can be 180 out. Since it feeds fuel when the fuel shut off is in run mode and does not flow when its off i am guessing its right. But i will double check. Thanks you. I did a pop test on the injector...

Does any one know what part number on that pic he is referring to? I would not be asking if i knew what you were talking about. Thats why i posted the pic. I dont see a gear so maybe what you call a gear is different then what i think it is.

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

I did not mess with any gears. Its driven by lobs on a shaft and the injector pump comes off separately. Unless i am not understanding what you are try to say. Sorry if i am miss what you are saying by gears are off.

Kubota D1105 problem solving black smoke

I have an 08 kubota D1105 Generator. I just got it and it was unknown the condition it sat for a long time since it was not needed. It would not start so i found the injector pump was stuck and it had no fuel going to the injectors. I took it apart and fixed it. I got it to start but it blew...
