    fiat 65b grader ?

Hey guys, our POA just bought a Fiat allis 65B grader and are going to change the fluids once delivered. I have downloaded the manuals and have a question on the hydraulic/transmission oil. It calls for TO-2, C-3 oil in 10w. I can get the oil in spec at TSC but it is 20W. I am not too concerned...

    Leeboy grader ?

Hey guys yall gave me some great advice concerning older cat/ deere graders . A leeboy g220 grader came up and considered looking at it. Its a 4wheel not 6 and about 17k lbs with a 10 ft mouldboard. I know it is smaller and lighter that the cats and deeres, but how about the reliability and...

    grader noob ?

Hi Silveroddo and others, I just moved to the community and I have been taking care of the roads with a 30 hp tractor and box blade. basically just smoothing the holes out until the next rain. About 4 yrs ago they had some gravel brought in and spread by an excavator dragging a homemade harrow...

    grader noob ?

So it sounds like the cat might be a decent buy from what I am hearing. I am ok operating it with the controls like they are, just didn't know if that was an indication of trouble costing us a lot of money soon. If it lasts like that I would be fine with it. Like I said it started fine and ran...

    grader noob ?

Ok so if the JD graders have parts issues are there better alternatives I should be looking at? I am kinda limited with a $15-18k budget. Found some old fiat allis graders but thought parts would be even more difficult to find.

    grader noob ?

Hey Guys. I am a complete noob with graders. I have experience with older tractors and backhoes but no experience with graders. I have taken on the road maint for our community that has about 2.5 miles of outside gravel/dirt roads with some rather short ( 150 YARD) interior roads. outside roads...

    555b starting prob

I bought a 555B last year and up until recently it started without problems. When I bought it I went through ALL the filters and fluids. This summer it started not wanting to start without ether (does not matter whether the engine is hot or cold) The hoe idles fine, has plenty of power in all...

Looked at a used 580ck today

diesels are easy. fuel, air, compression= run. If it won't start, loosen the injecters and crank it until fuel comes out and tighten back up. It will usually start then. That mostly happens only when you change the filters or it runs out of fuel. They are usually bullet proof, especially if you...

Looked at a used 580ck today

I did testing on the hyd pump as best I could and thought I had a good pump. It apparently was going out when I bought it. I found one online for $600. The hardest part of replacing it was finding a shop that could re-flare the 3/4" heavy steel line. The new pump was about 1/2" different in...

Looked at a used 580ck today

I do not see any mention about the physical "look" of the hoe (rust, dinged sheet metal etc). In my opinion for the weekend warrior wanting to do some "stuff" around the property like you have listed I think it is a pretty decent deal. Brakes can be a pain to work on. I am a flatlander so the...

    Hyd hose sizes and interchangability

Ready made as in an acceptable length with male npt on both ends. I would then just keep some jic / npt fittings on hand to put on. The fittings appear to be 3/4 but hose that blew was 5/8. It was plenty fast at 5/8

    Hyd hose sizes and interchangability

ATCO had helped me with a ford 555 I was having trouble with. Ended up replacing the pump. I was pretty sure I was going to start blowing hoses as a result of the pump change and guess what,,,,it happened. Where I live this 555 has turned out to be a turd for getting hydraulic hoses etc done...

    ford hydraulic, poss new pump?

I finally got the pump changed out and it is like a totally different machine. At idle with a full bucket it lifts and works like it had been doing at full throttle. I have not taken the pump apart to see exactly what went wrong, but so far it is not even the same machine. I flushed the fluid...

    ford hydraulic, poss new pump?

Thanks for all the help ATCO. one ? how much oil should I get in order to do this? I am thinking at least 10 gallons (being very hopeful, but realizing probably more). Also would it be a good idea to change the filter again say 40-50 hrs from the pump replacement?
