    Massey 6480 clutch problem

I have since read there is a switch on the pedal. Will try replacing/fettling this. There is also a calibration procedure I need to look into. When the clutch was first replaced it was a bit grabby but nothing like it is now. If you can see from the video the second time in a row you dip...

    Massey 6480 clutch problem

We have a clutch problem on a massey 6480 2007 perkins engined tractor. Tractor has had a power plate (first split). Then it has had a gearbox input shaft (second split, probably weaken by the power plate faliure). The clutch now is like an on off swith (neck snappingly bad). Any ideas?

Takeuchi tb180 replacing pins advice needed

We currently have a TB180 that has come in to be painted and have the back pins and bushes of the "side shift" replaced. Looks to be a real pain of a job as the two pins in question are buried fairly deep into the machine. I was wandering if there is anyone who has done this job before and...

Looking for opinions on an A25C gearbox. GKN manufactured gearbox. Dumper will go into forward and reverse but will not shift up through the gears. Box has had the oil removed, although dirty oil no metallic contamination found. Oil filter cleaned and re-fitted. No difference. However on...

    Volvo l120c water usage!

Just an update. Head off. One of the liners has been moving and has dropped. Volvo wanted nothing to do with a repair. Third party taken to Volvo and told by the fitter 'I have rebuilt more engines than you'. Third party has re-cut the liner seat, machined a shim, fitted new liner. In...

    Volvo l120c water usage!

Yea, its amazing who makes engines for different people in different machines these days. All the parts make your eyes water. I have just had an oil cooler go on a 1011 4cyl turbo, £600 for the cooler, its not like you can use a generic one. I will see if I can get hold of Neil on tomorrow...

    Volvo l120c water usage!

Sorry, its the L120F. My mind is on a C as we are looking for on as a backup for when a new one goes down. We are based in South Yorkshire. It is due to go into Volvo at Immingham next week. If anyone knows where there is a good C we would be interested and will pay going retail.

    Volvo l120c water usage!

I run a fleet of three Volvo L120Cs. One has developed a water usage issue. It uses around 5l per day (8 hour shift). Starts and runs fine but is using water. Purchased new and maintained on contract from VOLVO, the machine has never wanted for anything. It is now four years old...

What is or Was The Most Day in Day Out Reliable Engine Ever Made?

I may have also over-looked Honda's GX range of stationary engines. GX160 5.5hp is practically used in everything these days. Everything from jet washers to go-karts Amazing engines. so so simple. GD range of Honda diesels were not so good in my opinion neither are most of the small single...

What is or Was The Most Day in Day Out Reliable Engine Ever Made?

I agree Deutz air cooled, Lister air cooled. Most important thing for me in terms of generators is keeping thins @ 1500 RMP (or 1800 in america 50hz vs 60hz). Africa loves the old lister HR engines because they run forever and can be re built with minimal skill and tools. The down side to the...
