    case 580e hetaer shutoff?

I have tried to adjust the heater cable in the roof several times but can't get it to work properly and taking the roof apart each time is ridiculous! It is ok in the winter time but not in the summer. There is no air conditioner but the flowing air from the fan is a help if the heat is off. I...

case 580E front bucket tilt adjustment?

If we raise the bucket with stuff inside it is fine but then when we lower it it tilts forward and this would dump the contents. Can we adjust this to stay in the upright position as the bucket is lowered? The operator manual talks about return to dig adjustment but nothing else. Thanks.

    case 580e- 4wd repair?

The previous owner of our machine ran over something and broke off the shifting lever at the gear box. Our manual does not talk about what has to come apart to remove and replace the shaft. It talks about after you have it on the bench. I am more interested in getting back on! We will likely...

    580SE Hydraulic Plug Frozen

We had a bolt with a similar problem on our combine. We were scared to use a torch or similar heat for multiple reasons, fire, etc . We used a heat gun for a few minutes and presto- out it came.

    case 580e 4w drive problem

I think dad was not quite square or was just unlucky and broke off the small drill. We could not get it out so we made a coupler to fit over the stub and the rod. I works a lot better than it did before it broke off so that is a hopeful sign. It looks like they ran over something and broke off...

    case 580e 4w drive problem

My memory tells me that I saw a post a while back that said that there was a way to put the 4 wheel drive in gear that minimized stresses on the lever and the transmission. I looked but did not find the reference. Thanks.

    case 580e 4w drive problem

Thanks. That sounds like a possible fix. Dad is going to buy an angle drill this afternoon so we can try it. We have had a few tight spots in the past but always found a work around. We will have to have one for this job. It should be also useful on a few future occasions. We were thinking of...

    case 580e 4w drive problem

We bought a 580E about a year ago in fairly good condition. The previous owner was obviously not very mechanically inclined and did minimal repairs. Last week we could not get the 4 wheel drive to work and found at some time they have snapped off the clevis from the cylinder that pulls it in and...

Looking for my first backhoe. Thinking of a Case 580

I can't start a new thread yet but I think those reading this thread may be of help. We bought a 580E about a year ago in fairly good condition. The previous owner was obviously not very mechanically inclined and did minimal repairs. Last week we could not get the 4 wheel drive to work and found...
