D7F Transmission over heating after 3-4 hours

Here are some scans. The speed and directional taps will be under a plate on top of the transmission. Probably 1/8NPT thread, and some others could be 9/16 UNO. Do not automatically think every pressure tap is going to use the same thread. The last lot of photo's show the location of the...

D7F Transmission over heating after 3-4 hours

If you want the info for testing the transmission, I can get a service manual for the later 92E early next week and scan in the relevant section.

    Dual shield rookie

It is an 80% Argon, 20% CO2 mix. Can also use it for solid wire I believe, but not tried it yet. I have been building a few of these and welding them with self shielded flux core is a pain.

    Dual shield rookie

I have not tried the Hyundai SuperShield 11. A few years ago I got some Hyundai self shielded flux core hard facing. I find it pretty good. As an aside, you can also get self shielded 0.9mm hard facing wire from bunnings of all places. Bossweld GLX600. Not much chromium in it, but it is very...

Good tip, it made a difference. It is the last time I look to Pakistani Truck Rebuilders for advice. :D

Yea it is the one before yours. I notice you said the right footbrake plays up. The brakes on them have no power boost, entirely manual in operation. So is the steering clutch not disengaging? Maybe due to low pressure? You mention you checked hyd pump and scavenger pump pressures being...

    Dual shield rookie

Got my first roll of dual shield this afternoon to play with. I did find it works better with the right polarity and with the gas bottle turned on :D It is an embarrassingly crappy bead, crooked as a dogs hind leg, but was just wanting to see what it did on rusty rubbish. The utter crap weld...

D7F Transmission over heating after 3-4 hours

Here is it's sibling some time ago. Yours has no tree spear (the one in the photo's below was added after the MRD sold it) and I doubt it came out with that ROPS fitted, as the has the same sweeps design welded onto the hard nose.

I cannot help you out but I found the S/N interesting as 92E1985 is located in my part of the world. It was ex Main Roads Department.

I got caught up with the tongue a bit today, but found some time to try to install the replacement outer support. With glum's idea of tightening the adjustment nut, and then hit the holder with a hammer, I did that a few times, hitting the locking lug and it popped loose after a bit of effort...

Finding a helper is my problem Glum. Making a puller should not be too hard, but I might first tighten the big nut and try a hammer. It may just pop off. I did a bit of trespassing today and snapped this photo, The main 6" beam is 1500mm long, it looks about a good length.

Some general land clearing dating back a fair while ago now. Eagle eyes might notice the 6C in the last three pictures, well if you look hard in the bogged photo, the blade lift rams are attached lower to the blade then they usually are. The contractor had another set of balls attached lower...
