    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

I sold my H25B 2 years ago and seem to remember it having what I thought was an auto dumping bucket. Due to how the tilt cylinders are mounted on a linkage as you approach full lift height the bucket would dump unless curled all the way back if I remember correctly. Today I was watching an old...

    Weyerhaeuser Company Logging Operations

Thanks for sharing, seeing the pictures takes away some of the disappointment. I think the location of the yarder must be the far southeast corner of the lake. I followed the creek down which should've put me right on top of it according to previous accounts. I think the creek's output has...

This is for folks that hate dozers

I saw in one of Contract Loggers old posts that it was a BE 30B, although a google image search of those brought up different looking machines. What's unique about the one up on the Mountain is the undercarriage beam appears be a casting and has a curved indentation at the top middle with an...

    Weyerhaeuser Company Logging Operations

Did some more digging and found out road 3000 runs out around the bottom of the lake about where the red line is. My big question is to which red circle am I headed?

    Weyerhaeuser Company Logging Operations

Good to know, I took a drive out there after work and turned back about 6 miles from the border of the national mounument/forest. I was on road 4250 I believe, does it run all the way to Castle Peak?. I’ve read about Road 3000 being gated off and it being 3 more miles to the south end of the lake?

    Weyerhaeuser Company Logging Operations

I've been working in Longview for several weeks, went up to Coldwater Ridge last weekend. I'd like to check out the logs and equipment at Castle Lake but from what I can tell you need a $325 permit from Weyerhaeuser to drive back on those logging roads. Permits are sold out as well.

Any info appreciated, 600L Hy-Hoe made by Hydraulic Machinery Company Milwaukee, WI

I assume you're talking about the one in Beaver Dam, haha. I saw your post while researching it myself. Looks like a 4-53 engine. How would you move it?

    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

Video of my loader piling snow if anyone is interested. Been having problems with steering box freezing up, two tries of pulling bolt out of side near bottom and heating with a heat gun while pouring fluid in the top. Thought I had all the water out but still stiff when cold. Probably won't...

Here are a few pages about the 50/50 that I scanned out of a book I have. Doesn't mention any engine specs though.

    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

According to the info here: http://www.dozerpartswarehouse.com/page/420251932 I have a late 1966. Unit seems to work pretty well aside from the bent and leaking steering cylinder. Luckily it appears that the part below is a near match, ordered one up tonight...

    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

I found the tag and got the paint scraped. Looks like I have an H-25 Type G Serial No. 04208 There's some more numbers under the Type G portion of the tag that are 334-202U. Can anyone tell me what year this was made and/or any other information? Thanks, Matt

    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

This thread gives more detail on the hydraulic transmission. https://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/showthread.php?8165-Hough-H-25B-payloader-Transmission-HELP&highlight=ha+payloader Thicker fluid might allow a damaged pump or motor function a little better, with the risk of damaging good...

    I've been fix'n a HOUGH a model HA or H25

I just scored this machine today. I believe it's a H-25B, has the fully hydraulic drive train (pump on engine, motor on axle). I still need to get it home, can anyone tell me if this machine will roll once the drive valve is in neutral or is there some other bypass valve? Supposedly it's...
