    New to me 955K

New guy here lots of great information and help on this site. Had a couple questions about the discussion, pertaining to the undercarriage being a D5. D5 meaning it came off a dozer? Do dozers and track loads have different undercarriage? Is there an easy way to tell? Nice job fixing up the...

greg9504, I bought a shop manual off of EBay, have not been able to locate an operators manual. If you could send me a PDF of that would be great and very much appreciated. Watched your video on adding a thumb nicely done. Have a question have you seen or heard of anyone putting a grapple on the...

A sad day 31 years of ownership has come to an end

Hi thanks for the reply, the tree pusher is what I was referring to. I have seen rakes on dozers before, but not a tree pusher. I also would assume they use them over here just haven’t seen one or noticed a dozer with one on it. I watched one on you tube to see it in action, looks like they are...

1969 JD 450 track loader with 4 in 1 bucket.

Nice looking loader. Had a question on the last post how does water get in the hydro systems is there certain way it happens? I recently bought a backhoe and the hydro line look like they could be replace but are not leaking. Is that something that should be address before winter?

    Both Big Cats are home...

Thanks for all of good information. My only experience was on a JD 550H Dozer with T-handle controls my neighbor had. He let me run the machine for a few hours and coming from a guy with no experience I thought it was easy to operator and when I was pushing too much dirt the tracks would start...

    Both Big Cats are home...

Thanks for the information on the IH/Dresser. My favorite of the big track machines is the 977 Cat. How do the 175 and 250 compare in size to the 977?

Hi, new to the site nice looking machines. I always wonder where the Dresser machines fell into the pecking order of Dozers. Sounds like they are powerful machines.
