    Cat 287 usmc mtl

Well at Camp Atterbury, I was tasked with making a fire trail wider. Needless to say, this trail was two ruts when we started. I moved in with a Case 1150E and two CAT 287"s with the govies package added. Well, two days into the project, it rained. We were using reclaimed blacktop as a filler...

    John Deere 850B dozer?

Roadrunner, Ah yes, the 850 series. The Marine Corps has gotten a variant called the 850 MCT, which has the benefits of both. We have the joystick steer/hydro tranny. This is the "new" replacement from our old 1980's D7G's. I am still a fan of the old school, but BOY!!! I got the A/C...

Gents, Ahhh....the venerable USMC/USAR 130G CAT. I have been running these tractors now for about 9 years, and been everywhere with them from the swamps of Thailand to the deserts of Southern Iraq. Both the standard version and the version with the Trimble GPS laser leveling...

Gents, I am currently stuck on Camp Lejeune Nc. When I was in my old unit back in 2002, my Gunny told me I had to drive this old dozer to my shop so we could put her on a concrete slab as a monument for the engineers...ahh...that old EIMCO. Took me half a hour to start it, then I had a...

Will a 6 way blade stand up to rocks?

We were out in the Phillipines in early 2003 and had to grade a road, but wasnt sourced the Marine Corps road grader. We had a Case 1150C with 6way and the only I have to say is: it appeared to me the cutting edge wore a little quicker then normal cutting (normal I would assume)...Just remember...

Who has hit a cab or light with bucket?

Gents, I used to run the CASE 1075C (BADGER 1075) wheeled before....I know its not tracked...for the Marine Corps. That sucker could smack the cab like its cool. Well, long story short, I was digging a flat bottom ditch in Iraq in early 2004. All of the sudden, during a cycle, I came under...
