1969 case 580ck backhoe

I bought this a year ago. I change rear end fluid and transfer case fluids. When I got this machine I noticed the fluids was over full a little and both dip sticks can fit in either spot. They both have different marks on dip stick. Is there a way to tell which one goes where. I just want to make sure the correct one is in its place

Pretty sure the longer one would be the rear (transaxle). It holds right at 5 gal. 90wt.

Thank for reply. The longer one was in rear. So now I know it was over filled. I’ll get it changed. Thank you
