I'm having a time trying to fix my throttle on my zx200lc log loader serial number ff0cg6p20036

I cannot locate the proper wiring diagram for this machine at all
Any help would be much appreciated

I have 2 new stepper motors and power on the sensor the 3 wire
Power ground and signal but the motor won't move.

How do I test the controller ? I tried the relearning and the motor won't move at all.

First make sure the throttle cable is free no binding in cable.
There is an older post on this issue with a pdf file service bulletin.
Go to search type in ZX200LC check the search title only box. click search.
On about the fifth post down you will see zx200lc throttle calibration issue open post there is reply with pdf file with service bulletin. Hope this helps.

It won't recalibrate I don't I know what I'm supposed to see on the 4 pin connector for voltages or grounds
Linkage is free motor won't turn I think the mcm motors control module is no good. But not sure how to test it.

Next enter the service mode on your monitor in the cab. To do that press and hold the set button then key on or start. After bulb check release the button. Then use the select button to scroll. When a number 0 is on the left side of the screen what is on the right side? If not a zero on the right side then any other numbers will scroll in one second intervals. Those would be machine codes. Post results.

Then scroll until the number 8 is on the left side of the screen. That is your rpm dial voltage. What is the low idle voltage and the high idle voltage? Does the voltage change smoothly through the full range? Post results.
mg2361 was assisting with a Deere 200CLC excavator.
Your ZX200LC LL. forester log loader will have the same monitor.
The rpm dial voltage data should be #8 in the list or at least very close.
.
The Deere bookstore has a ZX200 forester manual # TM2045.
Your local Brandt location could likely provide the same # manual also.
Not sure if the wiring schematics would include the engine control side or just the forester specific wiring schematics.

Sending this info on monitor data items it has been useful for diagnostic specs.
You can look at pressures etc with engine running and operating functions also.

Thanks Dave I will try it out tomorrow and report back currently hit with the hottest weather of the year. It's almost too hot to drink cold beer.
My dealer was no help counts get me a schematic at all said they would have to ask Deere it's self but they never got back to me at all.

They said the wiring are nightmares with the forestry stuff. Doesn't match up to the excavators at all. Seems pretty straight forward. 3 wire for signal I have positive negative and signal. 4 wire if I ground right to frame I have 24 volts but if I go off the plugs I have no ground.

I know a guy in Chattanooga who only works on Forestry equipment I will give him a call Monday maybe he has had this problem. From what I have been told the Deere/Hitachi merger is ending and Deere will no longer support the Hitachi side. Worked for Deere for many years retired now but I do remember lots of wiring harness issues on the Deere and Hitachi excavator’s.

I heard the same thing they don't play nice now because hitachi wanted to make a cheeper line to compete with doosan and the other cheep junk brands Deere said no. End of that relationship

  1. Wiring Diagram: Obtain the correct wiring diagram for your machine. Contact the manufacturer, check the operator's manual, or seek assistance from a dealership or heavy equipment repair specialist.
  2. Testing the Controller: To test the excavator controller, ensure it's receiving power and sending signals to the stepper motors. Use a multimeter to check voltage at the controller's output terminals. Consult the service manual for specific voltage values.
  3. Motor Testing: If the motors aren't moving, test them individually. Apply voltage to each motor directly to ensure they are functional.
  4. Relearning: Retry the relearning process, following the manufacturer's instructions meticulously. If it still fails, the controller may need repair or replacement.
I havent been able to get the correct manual for this machine. My dealer ship couldn't find me the wiring diagram for the controller or machine.
I'm going to go on the display and see what is available for information on there as I can't connect to the machine with service advisor or dr z

My dealer ship told me to do the learning with the switch in the downward position the information I seen said in the up position I tried both I can't get the motor to move.

Your diagnostic devices have to receive a 5 volt power supply from the machine controller before they will connect.
With key on check for a 5 volt supply at one of the terminals at the diagnostic connector. Make sure your multi meter has a good frame ground on negative terminal.
If no voltage check controller fuse 5 amp i believe.
Check wiring controller to connector.
Go into your monitor display items directions in previous post.
If monitor display items are in same order as excavator, it will be item 16 Engine rpm dial voltage.
Turn rpm dial to WOT should read 4.7 to 5 volts if not than we have to find out what is going on with the loss of voltage. This test is performed with key on engine off.

Have seen this on a couple of hitachi log loaders check wiring in hydraulic pump compartment specifically engine speed sensor. Will cause no start erratic hunting governer issues

I have .5 volts on item 8 and when I turn dial it goes up to 4.8 volts

I have 0 and 0 on the 4 screen

Screen 6 I have 850 and when I turn dial it goes all the way up to 1580 so dial is working but nada at the the 4 pin at the motor. The computer must be no good ?

When reading RPM the Pump and Valve controller uses the pump speed sensor on top of pump housing.
Also called engine speed sensor, with that test showing RPM the sensor and wiring are good. And the computer is working on that area.
I hate to see you replace the computer and still have the same problem.
If the correct fuse is in place for the computer i have seen the harness short and not blow the fuse.
Harness could also be open. If higher amp fuse was installed i have seen many a fried computer.
One simple test Key off disconnect one of the pressure sensors at the pump turn Key on check for 5 volts there but most of time you should have a hydraulic code in monitor if there is a problem there.
With Key off disconnect the connector at the computer and look for corrosion when reinstalling the connector make sure it is seated same all way across especially at corner's. If you have the time, you could run a continuity, check from the four-pin connector to the computer. You should be able to find and match the wire colors from four pin connector to computer connector. If all is good and you still don't have five volts at diagnostic connector, then pull computer sometimes you can smell burnt smell in them also. FYI just talked to my guy in Chattanooga he stated he though one of the pins at the four-pin connector had system voltage all the time.
Hey i went back and re read your posts saw where you had 24 volts if you went to frame ground but none if you went to pins. I believe this is correct. I thank the ground has to be provided though the computer. He is going to try to find what voltages should be at the connector tonight.

Thanks I appreciate your help I have replaced the pump and the harness already I loaned the machine out and got it back this way the person that borrowed it said the throttle stopped so they tried changing the stepper motor but it didn't have the right plug so the guessed I'm sure they shorted the computer out. I have tried all the relearn procedures and none work. When I turn key on the ai and power lights all flash like it's doing something then stay lit. I took the computer out and opened it up it didn't smell burnt all the rest of the wiring all the way to the cab looks good. I did t do a continuity test because I had power at the plugs just not grounds. Everything is pointing to a damaged computer.

That would make sense those can lose just certain parts of their functions without a burnt smell.
Wish you good luck with this let us know the cure please.

  1. Wiring Diagram: Try contacting your local Hitachi dealer for the wiring diagram or reach out to Hitachi's customer support. They may provide you with the necessary documentation.
  2. Testing the Controller: To test the controller, you'll need diagnostic equipment or software designed for Hitachi equipment. This allows you to communicate with the controller, check for error codes, and perform tests.

From what I read in his previous posts his local or nearest dealer wasn’t much help.
Must have required a little extra effort on their part.

I just got the new computer gonna go try it today. Just wondering if anyone has a diagram for the fuses so I can make sure before I install computer.

I was told 2 different stories on how to do the learn procedure for the stepper motor also one person said put switch up ( this was what I found ) and someone said have the switch down ? I have a buyer for the machine so hoping to get it working and be done with it!
