24v radio to fit hitachi ex60-3

hi all
Does anyone know is there any such thing as a 24v fm radio available that will fit the small radio slot on the hitachi ex60-3?
Have searched online and haven’t had any luck so far, closest I can find is one 180mm long, the am radio in mine is 160mm long.

Are there any 12v radios available that size.?
If so a 24v to 12v converter plus the appropriate 12v radio would do the job. The converter could be mounted wherever there is space for it, then run a harness up to the radio location. It doesn't have to be anywhere near the radio.
AFAIK most machines run 12v radios off a converter.

Haven’t been able to find any one that size in 12v either.
The original is 24v, I do have a 12v single din radio in there already, mounted behind the seat , but it is gone faulty, vibration and dust seems to kill standard car radios pretty quickly, I would prefer one that would fit the original slot beside the armrest.

Just take 12v feed off the first battery ? Check with multimeter f needed.

12V off the first battery would work, but might cause the batteries to charge unevenly. With a small load like a radio it might not be noticeable, but still not the best practice.

It’s a tiny amperage draw so should not cause issue. The alternator will probably not notice the imbalance.

The alternator never cares, it happily produces it's regulated voltage. If the draw unbalances the batteries though, one will eventually overcharge and cook itself dry while the other is chronically undercharged. As you say a few milliamps may go unnoticed. But on the other hand you can get a 24/12 convertor off amazon for less than $20 with free shipping, so....
