792DLC with long reach extension

First timer here.....Would this be an alternative to a long reach or just for a few small jobs? Could you clean miles of drainage ditches with it and still have a functional excavator?

IMHO Yes it is an alternative. You still have a functional excavator it just comes off when you don't need it. You switch the pilots back to normal and you go on your way.
the old deere looks good, how many hours on her?

14,000hr and maybe 1000hr for the long stick which we have had since new.
