Company operates on drop and hook from Washington/Oregon/Idaho. Simply to remove
dock wait time, but that means a heavy investment of twice-plus the amount of trailers.
Drivers can produce 3,300 in five at 660 a day, the company has many that can achieve
it in 5 to 6.

I use to run 3,000 easily running locally with one or two pickups and a drop each night.
Got to show a 30 minute break somewhere in that first eight hours each day with a few
15 minute breaks, timeout at end and take the full 36 hour break. Can set in the seat 11.

ODND used to be the killer, offloading product as when Hauled milk in Cases of Cartons, or fuel to small stations, lots of time doing serious work.

Tri-State had those built as a armored cab, TS had a contract years ago to move large
quantities of various items such as currency and metals for the mint. And any other
items deemed needing armored interstate transport, Tri State also moved explosives.
Only two were built #353-#356.

1980, last load I hauled with my own wagon for IML Eagle as Driver/partner was Sick again, one week of Vaca shot to hell and gone. Pulled flat load of processed steel forms to Denver, picked up at Federal Mint warehouse, what an absolute PITA going thru Security. Truck inspected DOT, then US Security and Denver Police. Every Nook Cranny and compartment inspected. Had to reconfigure bunk as they finished and got backed into Dock. Only 12400 inside Box Van picked up in IMLs yard there and NOT told what just given a SEALED envelope of Load Paperwork. Lead Car, Trailing car, NO Talking Goon in Cab and on their channel radio, mine was disconnected. List of locations for MANDATORY stops, no side stops unless a Medical Emergency which included Rest Room if needed. Had regular Meal Break Stops and traveled to FED bank in Seattle. MORE Games as arrived There. Pennies, BAGS of Pennies. Was told only $12,000.00 worth, yet paid close to $1000 in freight to ship.
