Some great old time pictures. The hours that had to be put in to build all the buildings and laying the track for the locomotive. Before they could start cutting trees and hauling them, then floating them to a port. Lots of hard work! That picture of the three men getting ready to fall the tree, shows how big some of the trees were back then. Looks like you could spend a lot of time falling each tree let alone getting moved to be floated away. Guess no one told them they that it couldn't be done, so they just figured out a way to do it. Lots of hard labor, done by some very hardened men, getting the job done no matter what it takes!
