Barrel Rot??

Has anyone tore down a leaky cylcinder to change a seal and found the barrel damaged?
Like pitted, scraped... etc... Even a little rust??
Just looking to hear from seasoned vets... Is this common?:beatsme

depending on how long it has been leaking and how old it is there will be a few scores and pits just from contamination in the system ans if oil can get out dirt can get in usually you can hoan the barrel and go again depending on how bad the scratches and pits are but yeah in bobcats its pretty common to see a little wear and stuff but like i said oil can get out other stuff can come in water dirt ex cetera
