The two speed travel is not working. Pushing the button on the blade lever causes the green light to come on indicating switch to high range.
However the machine stays in low range. I checked where the switch mounted on the hydraulic valve plugs into the wiring harness, it registers 12 V.
Is there any way to tell for sure that the switch is bad? Can this valve shaft be moved manually? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Good day sos1
As to the best of our information the high speed is controlled by a solenoid valve it sound like this has stuck, follow the outlet hose from the small piggy back pump it will junction at the relief valve with solenoid valves on a block with any luck one is marked "a" its this one check for movement when you operate the switch. Hope it helps but if we can assist further please come back to excatech.com.
Kind regards

I ran the machine today for several hours with the green indicator light for high speed travel on.
at one point after several hours it did shift into high-speed travel. When I moved from high-speed travel
to low-speed travel it would not return to high-speed travel again. is this indicative of any particular problem?

The fact that it has worked for a time indicates that the issue is mechanical could be a corroded solenoid we still recommend you check it out.

I've got the same problem...
No details on the valve block as to the speed solenoid. And no voltage. Thinking I can repair the harness but to which magnet?
Any info on location of speed solenoid would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

Way late to help but this is more for future individuals.
I just fixed my neighbors 323 with a non working rapid travel mode and the service manual doesn't make it that easy. So here is what I learned.

So there is a relay (manual says 2 speed module, parts people say relay, confusing right?) and it is known as a flip flop relay (12v impulse turns it on and latches on, another 12v pulse will turn it off) this is what the button on the blade control runs. Chances are if the green indicator light comes on this is working. If you order this from Bobcat it was around $95-160CAD or order a generic flip flop relay off amazon or ebay for $20. This is located under the seat just under the blade control lever. There is actually 2 there but this is the smaller one closer to you. The manual shows a second relay tied into the system this a generic nothing special 12v relay. Check that as you would any relay.

Next is what the manual calls a travel switch or a 2 speed switch or a 2 speed boost switch. These are a ball switch on your hydraulic valve bank. These are a simple normally open switch. When your travel controls are in neutral the ball sits in a detent to keep high range disengaged (my guess is so you are not trying to increase hydraulic flow without it going anywhere). As soon as you move the travel stick in either direction the detent moves away from the switch causing it to engage and close the circuit. This was my problem both had gone. Easy to test there is a wire under the floor right on top in the middle. If you lift the forward floor where all the controls go through you will see it split and go to valve banks where the travel levers go. Simply unplug the connector, plug in a multimeter, set it to check continuity, move each lever and see if you get a reading. If not you found your problem. This is where I can save you money. Each switch from Bobcat is $140CAD, and each side is listed different (one is kit only $243CAD, other shows switch without kit) but both are the same. So this is a simple 9/16"x18 ball switch I got the same switch from Lordco for $17each. Cole Hersee makes one (part# 91113-COL) you have to cut the wire off and attach it but hey ill take the savings. The other option is a "Pollak Ball Switch 21-562-P" it's $15USD and "LOOKS" to have the same harness on it.

Short of that there are the actual hydraulic solenoids. These are located in a large valve body in the rear engine compartment. open the back and chances are you will see the block containing 4 solenoids. There are 2 that control this (2 speed solenoid and 2 speed boost solenoid, my guess this is there way of saying right and left). At the electrical plugs you will see colour zap straps. The one with yellow is the 2 speed solenoid, the one without one is the 2 speed boost solenoid. If you check for power just remember the button has to be on and a travel lever has to be in one direction.

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the info Kealan.

Hoping you can help me with my 331.

The two speed works when traveling in reverse. This has been consistent. In forward, it's been intermittent. Sometimes no problem, but now it stopped working. For awhile, if I engaged the forward travel levers slowly, the machine would begin to move then I'd feel the high-speed kick in.

Trying to understand what is different between moving forward and moving in reverse.

Thanks.

Tim
