Forest Service grant to study cost efficiencies of harvesting Pinyon/Juniper trees. There will be up to 4 different systems tested. BioBaler was first, Fecon RTC 22-365 begins this week. Ponsse and Bruks possibly in the future.
Using a combination of a Bobcat T320 and Dymax 20" shear we are felling many trees. No issues with Bobcat's CTL's in extreme rocky conditions. And, Dymax shear is performing well under similar conditions. Nice to have a 20" shear for those large bushy branchy cedar trees.
