Brakes drag on D4 H LGP

Working on a 1999 D4 H LGP and after about a hour of dozing the brakes start dragging and the transmission on starts getting hot

Check to make sure you don't have a bunch of dirt built up around the park brake valve spool. The early 90's machines were prone to that, not sure about the later ones. The valve was just below the steering levers and had to be pushed fully down to release the brakes. Follow the linkage and you will find it.

I found that the brakes come on with the lack of pressure. When you take the brakes off it applys pressure and releases them. The first place to start is you adjustment on the parking brake linkage. Make sure that all the swivels are free. You really need to
Buy the adaptor from CAT so you can plug in to the pressure taps to check and adjust the parking brakes. You also will need a 3' hose and a pressure gauge that goes to 500psi.
