case 1150 suspension welding??

i have bought a nose diving 1150 and have heard you can weld itto make it set level.....anyone know where and what to weld in?

What do you mean by nose diving? Is something broken?

when you raise the blade the tractor nose dives because the track suspension is very loose......nothing is broken yet ..

here is where someone else having the same trouble with a B model.....i just don't know what and where to weld it....

If you have the time, a good machine shop can repair and make some parts.

Jack the nose up with the blade, weld the brackets to the torsion bars. Usually they strip the splines out of the brackets. Won't ride any rougher than it does now.

The torsion bar-lever thing was just not a good idea. If you look on the inside top of the track frames you can see where the stop on the main frame rest on it when the dozer is in the "nosedive position". Weld a block of equal size on each track frame right where you see the worn spot from the main frame stop. Make the blocks tall enough to make it stand up like it should. Seat belt up, she gonna be a little rough riding. Been a long time ago but seems like we used about 2in tall?

How come no pictures? Then the ideas can come. And serious a dozer with torsion bars, sounds as bad as the old leaf spring mess from years ago.
No springs on any dozer I ever ran. Some times the seat had a few.

D41 Komatsu dozers have solid track frames, they're about the same size as an 1150.
