Hi,
I read through the threads and saw nothing like the problem that I'm having. I have a 89 Case 688 excavator that I bought used with hydraulic issues. The previous owner was tracking across a field when the unit just shut off. It lost electric power. He found a bad circuit and ran a hot wire to get it going. From that point on, it has not worked right. When the excavator is cold, it works better. When the hydraulics warm up, it doesn't function correct. Here's the catch. When the stick is run all the way out and maxed out, everything works great. The only electronic solenoid that I can find is for control hydraulics and it is getting power. I don't think it has anything to do with electric. To me it seems like the low pressure hydraulic circuit is bypassing because the oil gets hotter that it should. Where should I look?
