The axle on my early model Case 85XT is broken and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. The newer version axle is plentiful. Does anyone know if you can retrofit the early models to use the newer axle? The older ones have a dust seal and spacer on the inside and the newer ones did not.

I ended up with the newer axle because an online vendor had it listed wrong. I'm working on sending it back.

Anyone? How about putting a whole new style axle assembly on? The later model axle assemblies are easier to find as well.
