Case IH DX55 with Shibaura N844LT-46179

I have a Case IH DX55 compact tractor with Shibaura N844LT-46179 engine. The block is cracked. I find various versions of the Shibaura N844 but nothing listed for Case IH equipment. Is it possible to fit a newer N844 engine from maybe a New Holland skid steer into an older (mid 2000's ?) Case IH? Much obliged for any help identifying what engine will fit.

I don't know, but I suspect the bell housing and flywheel will unbolt and bolt onto whatever block you get. The Perkins 404C and D engines are also very similar.
