Cat 955K track adjuster

Hi

Looking for thoughts on this adjuster removal. It it will not come out.

Idler needs moved ahead and cylinder needs turned so fittings are straight up

IDler is fully ahead and fittings straight up but still no luck.

I keep looking at the picture sure doesn't seem to be much of the cylinder still in the pilot have you tried prying it side to side and up and down might help to loosen side guide plates on idler and there four bolts on idler that might help the idler go farther forward if you loosen them number 13 in picture

Yep done all that. Going to try and pry as you say. See pic.

Its almost as if the spring needs to pushed back. Has this been?

forget the idler stuff you have the yoke off one question what does the center bolt look like on other side of spring is it still there with a nut on it?

Yes it still has nut on it and the threads are good.

Try the prying first I don't think the spring is too far ahead

another thought since you got the yoke off might try getting the shaft out the back

Yep tried that, plate is welded to the push shaft. I see that the 955L was updated to take it apart more easily from the drawing i saw.
