Cat C 4.4 engine in a telehandler-- Is that going to be a huge money pit?

It is listed as 'weak/bad, needs repair"
I know that is a huge open ended statement, but I don't have more than that, no codes.
it is a 2007, I am guessing with EGR.

2007 likely won't have any emissions garbage. Parts are readily available from perkins (1104) or Cat (3054). I have the perkins variety and almost all issues derive from the fuel system or electrical issues within the machine itself.
