Fighting with this cat c4.4 in a metso screen plant. Put the motor in the plant started it ran great shut it off sat for a couple days. Crew went out to start it and it surges and is puking smoke. Went back out checked injectors 2 and 3 were dumping fuel and hydro locked the motor. Replaced both them injectors not it just wants to crank and not start. Pictures is from before I changed the injectors

Best post your Engine Serial number, were the injectors OEM, do you have Cat ET, was it an overhaul change out engine or a patch job? Not there so asking questions as not too much info to make diagnostics.

Okay, just to let you know, a camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor does not have to produce any codes and still mess up the computer. Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics proved this on a vehicle, that would not rev up at all, they changed everything on it to find out it was a faulty crank sensor.
Best check if you have any voltage loss on the way up from battery positive to multiple computer positives while cranking. Suggest checking the same thing on the computer negatives. So am I correct to say that it has not run properly since overhauled.
You could have a power relay that the internal disc is not sending clean power to everywhere including to what needs clean power.
You have a lot of voltage drop testing to do, and maybe some testing of some wires with the computer plugs disconnected and a 5 amp bulb sending power down a particular wire with the other end of wire connected to ground. If wire pops, you know where the problem was.
