A little back round. Purchased a 931 track loader. Unable to locate serial number on machine. Looked in all the listed forum locations. The engine let a rod exit the side of the block. Jasper engine without a serial plate. Purchased a used long block and will swap all items over from current engine. Purchased the engine disassembly manual, specification manual, transmission adjustment/ test manual, And parts book.

Breaking down log block for trip to machine shop for magna, verification of crank and cam. Removed head removed pistons and crank. Having a hard time getting the cam removed. Manual shows a tool 6v98 stud removal tool. Is there a work around trick or do i need to find this removal tool? The tool appears to be a bolt with a slot cut in the threaded end.

For the record I have been reading threads and want to use the IPD 3 ring piston. Just waiting to see if I will need to bore/ sleeve this block before ordering internals.
