The signal wires (which you disconnected) come from the engine ECM. It will need a bit of investigation to find out what input signal(s) to the ECM trigger that output to the intake heater relay. I would guess it is something related to either air intake temperature or engine coolant temperature, or even both. Right now - dunno.However, do you have any clue what's the problem with the INTAKE air heater? Why it stays on?
You could do. Then when the weather turns cold you could plug it back in if necessary.Is it ok to keep it disconnected then? It is warm here now and there is no need for the heater...
