choosing computer for komatsu pc130-6

hello, please help me

i have a 1999 komatsu pc130-6, engine no. S4d102E-1, Serial no. 26254052
i my computer got damage and i want to purchase a new one. the computer on board serial no. is 7834-21-6000. i am seeing a used one for $550 usd. but i am also seeing a new one from the same seller for $750 usd but its serial number is 7834-21-6002. should i take the risk of buying the used one, or the risk of buying the other one with the different serial number. is there a major difference between the 2 computers? the seller tells me that there is no info on the used one as to how old the machine it came off of was, or how long the machine was in use, he also said that he got it from overstock so he's not even sure if it's used but he just listed it as used. also time is limited for purchase. please help me make a decision quickly. thank you

If it's ebay, you'll be covered by buyer protection from them and paypal. I wouldn't pay any other way on that kind of purchase.

ok. so do you know if there is a major difference between the 2? will the 7834-21-6002 work on my machine with no problems ?

The 2 used to only mean there was an update to improve or fix a problem that Komatsu would not tell anyone about. It should work but check on any kind of warranty you might be able to get. How much would a new one from the dealer cost?

I might be a little suspicious of the one with the corrosion on it. Do you have your computer out of your machine?

oh ok. i bought the used one because it's the one with the same serial number as mine and i was scared of buying the other one. i didn't check the price from the dealer either

the computer is out of the machine but the machine is in the caribbean and i am in NY. there's someone working on it though, he said he could fix it but has to order the parts
