AC used DDs for a LONG time before went to Buda's, not my choice for long duration use, kinda like the old Rice Burner crotch rockets put hands and feet to sleep, DDs do too, just replace to ears and butts.

Well for the fact there is a resurgence and all this new found love for Two Strokes, Then there
needs to be a come back---ALL YELLOW & ORANGE construction equipment should be powered
by Detroit Two Strokes starting mid 2024.... for some reason I think all the faces will/would
turn which says people really don't like them all that much do they.

No I don't think so--it would cause some to confuse me with {back slapp'in, tail gate beer drinking

I couldn't hear you . Lost a good share of my hearing in my right ear sitting next to a 671 in a John Deere 860A paddle wheel scraper.

I probably lost a good amount of my hearing test running 16V-71's some with twin turbos in a shop just big enough to park one DM800 Mack.

Did not have a dyno so basically just ran them for a sort time after a rebuild to as one guy called it "To check for leaks and squeaks"! Not really sure how we expected to hear the squeaks!

Wonderful time wasn't it--outfit I worked for had a Raygo with a very short pipe.

Which goes to the point if those engines were so good-they should be a option in 2023.
Can you imagine setting in this 11 for 10 hours day after day listening to that 6-71.
