D6H how to check priority valve pressure

We have a D6H in the shop transmission getting hot. To check the priority valve book shows to check on top rear of transmission housing. On this dozer that is where the oil comes into the transmission from the filter. Serial number is 3ZF6XXX, power shift, differential steer.

We just had same thing trans getting hot. Ended up torque converter bearing had gone wearing turbine bypassing oil heating everything up. So put new cti one in and it ends up being faulty as well! Was made wrong from factory how bad is that.

chisumtrail is in field today but the owner has replaced water pump and cores pulled converter looked at it didn't see any thing wrong when ask about amount of oil was in it he said apx. 1 gal but they changed it anyway along with pump but its still heating

The new torque converter we got was over 43 thousands , between impeller and turbine. Wore out is 20 thousands. So they cut the turbine wrong or impeller. Not saying this is your problem but something to look into if you dont find anything .

Ours would run great for 1 hour then everything got hot to.

could be but I fell like this tractor has been doing this for a while it had a 160 deg. thermostat in engine but trans.gets hot first we pulled valve out and checked it all O-rings look new like had been changed but my inlet pressure is only 70 every thing else ok
