We where fairly busy this spring and summer but it looks like things are going to be a little
slow this fall but you never know. It seems the commercial work in this area has stayed pretty strong.

do you use that D9R with the blade as a push cat? we use the same setup but with smaller scrapers and a D7R but we find it's definitely not ideal for us with that type of blade because those corner bits will destroy a tire if the scrapers are working in a tight corner or something and the cat isn't perfectly straight to the scraper. those tires aren't cheap. Our guys have to be real careful with that push cat

No they don't use push cats at all with the 9's. It is extremely hard on the pans with a D-9 pulling and pushing and the 9's self load extremely well.

Most of the dozers we used for pushing had full blades. The dozer hand just had to know to back off if the scraper started turning.

They used to push load but after 3 bottoms ripped out no more of that. If you keep the area ripped if it is rocky they self load easily.

There is nothing wrong with pushing with a full blade. It isn't a good idea in rock, you can roll a rock right in to the rear tire.

A cushion blade is a lot safer and faster in the cut.

I never though about rocks, but we never had an issue. Most of the rock we got into was fractured so not much big stuff and what there was got chased out and blasted. Although if your cut is done right and your not trimming the slope you shouldn't have many rocks kicking around.

Not sure. I know they hired several new guys this past spring, but like most companies here in missouri we are slowing down for the winter months. But they usually do some hiring in late winter/spring time. Yeah laundry left me a little confused.
