Deere 310D Hydraulic oil filter change.

HZello everybody, I have a 1991 John Deere 310D backhoe and every time I have changed the oil filter it gets soaked falling on me while I unscrew it and try to put the new one in. I appreciate some advice to make this change without spilling a lot of oil, maybe you have to put the machine in a specific position.
