Deere 6068 SPN 1076

Hi,

We have an irrigation pump with a Deere 6068 engine using the DE10 injection pump. Serial number for the engine is PE6068T539578. Issue we’re having is it won’t start, and when holding in the Murphy switch, SPN 1076 Fuel injection pump metering valve issue comes up on the display. It did run initially, sputtered, and died. Won’t start again. We’ve verified fuel coming from supply lines, through lift pump, through the filter, and to the injection pump. It seems as if it’s the solenoid in the pump, but wanted to check and see before replacing the injection pump. This unit has a new wiring harness from last year, and all connections seem very tight when checked. From what I can read it looks like the pump or ECU is next, just wanted to make sure our troubleshooting was correct. Thank you!

Thank you for the manual! Looks like all the wires are testing correctly following this, so it leaves either the injection pump or the ECU.

I would check any wire associated with the injection pump from original fuse supply to end with a 5 amp bulb to rule out a bad connection. Would not be good to do a pump and find out still does not go.
