Assuming a Deere 748H? Post a complete machine serial number so the guys with forestry experience can help?

I solved a John Deere 648E Grapple Skidder that was overflowing the transmission. Hydraulic tank was going down slowly.
Put blue dye in Hydraulic tank and after half a day of running only a small tinge of blue in the transmission oil.
We decided to pull rear diff and front diff plugs into white containers to check. We only dropped out about 5 liters from each.
Lone and behold the rear diff oil was pure blue. Brake piston seals were leaking blue dyed oil into rear diff. Then the overflow pipe sends the surplus back to the transmission. He kept dumping the rear oil out till the job was done and opened rear diff in the spring. The piston seals on both sides were basically gone from wear.
If you know which compartment is going down you can dye the oil in it to find out where it goes.
Hope this may help.
