Thank you!
it uses a mesh system that reads of barometric pressure thru sensors that you stick on your machine and around your job site, they call them weather anchors, they use bluetooth and wifi to your phone or screen. its not a laser and its not gps, anybody know anyone that has it
Looks like a great price point, 90% of my work is water & sewer emergency repair. But I dig footers occasionally and this system would probably work for me.
It's interesting. Not sure how much the altimeter is actually doing in that setup.
It looks to be a series of IMUs which is what most grade control systems are running off of. Like a lot of non-corrected systems, I bet it's susceptible to drift, but who knows how much.
The killer for me is the inaccuracy. Nothing under an inch and it looks to me like it'll drift.
It doesn't seem to have a reliable slope built into it either.
At the cost for a 3 Delta system you're half way to purchase price of a new Spectra Precision GL622N laser and receiver setup.
I've made pipe mountings for the grade rod receiver and used them on dozers, skid steers, and excavators and got accuracy to within an inch without getting off the machine. I could also set a slope and didn't have to worry about drift.
Hopefully they improve without getting too expensive...
