Goughy, your D4 7U tractor is a 1956 year of build. Production in 1956 ran from 7U35570 to 7U39596.
There were 44,307 7U tractors built in total, they were one of Cats most popular products in the 1950's.

Hi people...have just bought a D4 7U Cat dozer ...where can I find the serial no. to find age of machine...got a service manual coming soon...any tips re sevicing that would help in the meantime...TIA
