I have recently purchased a dynapac 250d. This ia a 2007 machine and has only worked for 300 hours. I can hear a lot of clunking and banging from the drum when the vibration is switched on and off....Is this normal?? I also think there is excessive noise in the cab but I only have worked Bomag units before. Does anyone know is this normal or am I looking at a failure in the near future??? Hope someone can help...thanks

Some of the dynapacs just seem to be louder than others with no apparent mechanical problems. The clunk your hearing is probally just your ecentrics in the drum hitting on the stop pin, which is normal on the start/stop of vibration. Does your high and low vibration settings both work? What kind of noise are you hearing in the cab? Have you checked your drum oil levels? The repair manuals are available online at http://www.dynapac.ca
