Excavator Control system

Hello All,

I am looking into investing into an excavator control system such as excavision or Idig but I don't have much experience with such equipment. I am looking for either 1D or 2D systems to start with.

Any reccomendations or suggestions are appreciated. P.s the main weighing factor is cost. hence I am also interested in where I could buy this equipment second hand or used.
