Short clip of Fecons RTC 500 mobile chipper chipping Pinyon and Junipers in Utah
Look at the monster of a branchy cedar at about the 50 second mark!

Seems like a slow process compared to a tub grinder and excavator feeding it. Can't see how the chips coming out the chute would be good for any, particularly after being dumped on the ground.

Have had this type of Juniper both chipped and run through a horizontal grinder. Chipping definitely puts it into a smaller more uniform product if that is your goal. This unit was demoing just blowing it on the ground for a crowd to see. It can also pull a chip wagon behind it, blowing it into the wagon, or blow into trucks driving along side.
