Has anyone heard of or know anyone currently using the FiltroGreen product? Or is it another Snake Oil Product, which i am sure it it lol. Oil lasts 5 times longer!!!! haha yeah right.

I've never heard of it, but anything that is supposed to make oil last 5 times longer has got to be bull.

Thanks Scoops25. Im not familiar with the Filtrogreen brand but I have been around other bypass filter products. They work, maybe not how the presentation stated but they do keep engines/hydraulics cleaner then full port filters. They are continuously taking a small amount of oil and filtering it in this case to 8 microns. Ive seen hyrdraulic systems on shovels run down to 2 micron on another companies by pass filters.
They claim that oil doesnt wear out, thats sort of true the ad packs do wear out. For example once your oxidation inhibitors wear out your oil will oxidize and be worthless or if your detergent wears out then it wont keep the contaminants in suspension to carry the dirt to the filter.

It could lengthen your drain intervals with condition monitoring but I would never stop changing filters like was suggested in the presentation.
