Hopefully this help some one.
Since noon today on a cat 279d
No auxiliary quick coupler
3.6 volts to switch centre wire. And 3 volt out put to either side.
Started with battery ground and battery terimals.
Didn't change voltage.
Cleaned whole fuse block above battery and all connections. Didn't quite change much.
Went under cable and checked cab to chases ground strap and cables.
I removed all went up and checked voltage with grounds removed.
7.94 volts to centre wire.
Hmm alittle closer.
Cleaned ground strap and replaced terminal as they were brittle.
And went back.
3.6 volts to centre wire and 12.94 key on engine off well pushing switch would jump to 12 volts.
Checked operation and all works well.
Seem cab ground was the actuall main issue.
I also found around 7-10 broken wires in the process. But they didn't do any help.
The ground was the last thing I did stupidly. Buts it's Sunday and I was just enjoying the day.
