In beteewn fitting new bushes and pins to my loader i have been doing some body work to the engine hood, there is a dent aprox half an inch deep by half an inch width, was wondering if it was worth filling in with mig welder or body filler?

Can it be pulled out some 1st? I've also had better luck with fiberglass repair then body filler.

Agreed! Heat it and knock it out.If you have a shrinking hammer to shrink back the stretched metal use it,if not use cold wet rags around the perimeter of the stretch to shrink it.Then fill it,fair it and prime it.BTW/ I have painted a good many loaders and excavators in my day and never worked on a modern machine that did not have body filler from the factory somewhere or everywhere on it.
